Job Title:   Commis Chef – Fine Dining
Location:   Los Angeles, California
Job Type:   Full-time

About the Job:
Chef Dominique Crenn, the trailblazing force behind Atelier Crenn and a global icon in culinary innovation, is bringing her boundary-pushing culinary artistry to Los Angeles. Poised to be one of the most anticipated openings of 2025, this new concept will redefine fine dining in LA through innovation, elegance, and hospitality at the highest level. We are building an extraordinary team to launch this landmark project—and are seeking passionate and hard-working Commis Chefs to help bring it to life.

As a Commis Chef, you will support the culinary brigade in daily mise en place, prep, and station execution. This is a foundational role for those looking to build a career in fine dining, where discipline, consistency, and a desire to learn are paramount. You will work alongside some of the industry’s best—learning technique, precision, and the art of hospitality from the inside out.

Position Summary:
The Commis Chef is responsible for assisting the kitchen team with preparation, organization, and cleanliness, while learning and absorbing the fundamentals of fine dining execution. This role is ideal for entry-level cooks or recent culinary graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in a Michelin-caliber environment and grow within a supportive and structured team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with ingredient prep, mise en place, and basic cooking techniques across stations
  • Ensure all ingredients are cleaned, stored, and rotated according to food safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation before, during, and after service
  • Support the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie during busy services with focus and urgency
  • Participate in daily kitchen briefings, team tastings, and ongoing training sessions
  • Take initiative to learn about technique, ingredients, and seasonal changes
  • Uphold and model our core values of respect, hospitality, creativity, and excellence
  • Be a brand ambassador, embodying elegance, finesse and innovation

Requirements:

  • Some kitchen experience or recent graduation from a culinary program preferred
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive, respectful attitude
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a high-performance, fine dining environment
  • Excellent personal hygiene and knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States

What We Offer:

  • Health benefits (medical, dental, vision) with a portion covered by the restaurant
  • A rare opportunity to train within one of the country’s most anticipated fine dining kitchens
  • Elite mentorship and exposure to world-class techniques and ingredients
  • A structured and respectful work environment focused on growth and excellence
  • Career advancement opportunities across a portfolio of acclaimed restaurants

If you are a focused, humble, and driven young cook ready to begin your fine dining journey at the highest level, we invite you to apply.

This is more than a kitchen job—it’s the first step in a transformative culinary career shaped by passion, purpose, and precision.
