Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for an experienced Interim Controller to lead accounting and financial operations during a 3-6 month transition period in the energy / power industry. Must have experience with Derivatives, Tax Equity, and Technical Accounting. Key Responsibilities + Leadership: Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls; ensure US GAAP compliance; mentor and manage the accounting team. + Financial Reporting: Produce P& L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses; provide variance analyses; support budgeting and forecasting. + Project Accounting: Implement systems to track costs and budgets for energy storage projects; partner with project managers for financial insights. + Tax Equity & Transactions: Manage tax equity financing structures, derivatives, and other complex transactions; collaborate on tax strategies. + Treasury: Monitor cash flow and liquidity to meet objectives. + Audit & Compliance: Lead audit preparation and ensure regulatory compliance. + Collaboration: Work across teams to align financial goals and provide actionable insights. + Process Improvements: Implement best practices and financial software systems. Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (CPA or CMA preferred). + 7-10 years of accounting/finance experience with 3-5 in leadership roles. + Knowledge of US GAAP, ERP systems, and complex financial transactions. + Strong leadership, analytical, and collaboration skills. Contract: 3-6 months | Location: Fully Remote Requirements - Minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial leadership role such as Controller or similar - Proven proficiency in all aspects of accounting functions - Demonstrated ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) - Extensive experience in auditing and compliance procedures - Strong understanding and practical experience with budget processes - Previous experience in a Controllership role is a must - Proven track record in preparing and presenting financial reports - Strong analytical skills for financial analysis and reporting - Experience in project accounting and cost management - Ability to handle complex transactions - Proven experience in audit procedures - Knowledge and understanding of compliance regulations in finance - Excellent communication and leadership skills - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
