Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable EHS Coordinator will oversee our North Carolina/South Carolina Divisions . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of our workforce by implementing and overseeing safety protocols on project sites. This position requires a strong understanding of occupational health standards, compliance management, and risk management practices. The EHS Coordinator will work closely with various teams to build a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of project sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide training and resources to employees on occupational health practices, emergency procedures, and safe work practices. Lead safety training and orientation for all employees.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction management plans.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions for compliance with TRP safety program.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Field Specific Responsibilities

• Visit and walk the jobsites on a regular basis to establish EHS presence and provide support.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly EHS Meetings/Trainings and schedule as needed.
• Perform field safety observations during each visit.
• Ability to evaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE.
• Conduct critical behavior-based safety observations as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Business Unit EHS Director.
• Oversight and Implementation of Day-to-Day field operations.
• Work with the facility leadership and field teams to ensure work practices are understood and followed.

Key Performance Indicators

• This position will be responsible for influencing the following performance metrics:
• EHS Management System Facility Action Plans
• Region EHS Training Compliance: >95%
• OSHA Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR): <10%
• OSHA Days Away Restricted and Transfer Cases (DART)
• Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
• Individual Development Plan and Status
• Weekly Branch Location Visit Summary Completion: 8/week – 32/month – 384/year
• Notification of Injury / Incident / Motor Vehicle Collision
• Driver Qualification Files and Compliance: >95% Responsible Vehicle Accident Rate

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of work experience in the EHS Field.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications, software management systems, EHS management systems and reporting platforms.
• Relevant certifications in EHS or safety management are highly desirable.
