Ria Health, recognized as the leading national telehealth provider specializing in alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment, recently raised $12.5 million through a Series B financing led by Peloton Equity.  Our existing investors SV Health, BPEA and SOSV also participated in the Series B. The investment will further the momentum of commercial partnerships that include regional and national health plans, including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealth Group Optum, Beacon Health Options, Highmark Health, and Magellan Health. Ria Health will enable patients to achieve long term success in reducing or eliminating  their alcohol consumption, and live healthier and happier lives. We are seeking a Clinical Intake/Triage Nurse to join our rapidly growing team.

The Ria program is delivered through telehealth and by a care team of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Coaches with clinical expertise to manage care and outcomes for Ria Health members.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES and ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager of Revenue Cycle is responsible for oversight of Ria Health’s revenue cycle management (RCM) functions.

  • Oversight includes ensuring an efficient, accurate, and compliant revenue cycle management billing activities to maximize reimbursement across all Commercial and Medicare lines of business.

  • The Manager of RCM will provide leadership, organizational, and strategic direction to the organization, ensuring best RCM practices across Ria Health’s market.

  • Oversee the development, maintenance, implementation, and training of protocols, policy and procedures for all functions related to the revenue cycle.

  • Manage Ria Health’s billing, collections, authorization, and payment posting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the revenue cycle management processes.

  • Conduct reimbursement monitoring for individual insurance carriers and patients.

  • Actively collaborate with Ria Health’’s Customer Service Manager on billing/authorization/provider issues.

  • Lead the development and implementation of revenue cycle strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and improvement initiatives to continuously improve the RCM process to maximize Ria Health’s billings and collections.

  • Create management reporting that proactively identifies Revenue Cycle trends/issues.

  • Actively partner with the Operations team and Revenue Cycle Department Liaison on day-to-day business.

  • Ensure compliance in all aspects of RCM activities including coding and billing rules and regulations by payer and state.

  • Mentor and provided staff with day-to-day guidance and assistance.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry payer billing and appeal policies.

  • Responsible for monitoring and responding to any legislative/regulatory billing changes.

  • Manage Payor audits in conjunction with Ria Health’s Compliance staff.

  • Collaborate with finance in revenue recognition by developing and implementing monthly revenue reports.

  • Develop other monthly reports as requested and/or required to achieve Ria Health’s revenue recognition goals.

  • Design, operationalize, and monitor key revenue cycle reports to track key performance metrics.

  • Foster a positive work environment and deploy engagement and feedback tools to build a best-in-class revenue cycle team.

  • Establish and manage to annual individual and RCM department goals

  • Lead with enterprise mindset to drive desired outcomes.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field or equivalent experience required.

  • 2+ Years experience managing a team.

  • Athena Collector experience required.

  • Healthcare experience required.

  • 5+ years of experience in a revenue cycle role.

  • Strong emotional intelligence and passion for building relationships across all levels of an organization.

  • Outstanding analytic, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to create, communicate, influence, and direct a team to achieve the company’s vision and success.

  • Highly disciplined and organized, both operationally and in thought process.

  • Global mindset ability to adapt to various people and cultures with a cohesive view in mind.

  • Innovative, proactive, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience managing both up, down, and across the organization.

  • Works well in a changing environment with a growing company.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s practice management and data collection software.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and billing software.
