Seeking a Medical Receptionist to support a GI clinic in Chandler! Location: Chandler, AZ (by Chandler Fashion Center) Duration: Long term, we want someone who wants a career, this is not a temporary position Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm (some days may need to work OT until 5pm) Description The Medical Receptionist is the first point of service for our patients coming into the practice and is responsible for greeting, registering and scheduling patient appointments. Responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and benefits. Collects co-payments and obtains routine financial information from various sources to obtain payment plan arrangements and Medicare coverage. He/she also answers the phone and acts as a primary source of information to patients in the waiting area. Obtains complex financial information regarding patients from various sources to obtain payment plan agreements charity care Medicare coverage alternative financing and verifies coverage. May obtain prior authorizations for office visits and/or testing. May enter charge entry data as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications + Prior experience in eligibility and benefits along with scheduling, phone calls and the traditional medical receptionist role + Someone who has had to verify benefits is a must. + Experience working in a GI clinic is a plus! + This is a very busy office so must be comfortable with high volume office. #prioritywest25 Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
