NOW HIRING: Safety Coordinator – Industrial Construction

Location: Louisville, NE
Pay: $35–$41/hour (Based on Experience) + $100 Per Diem
Schedule: Full-Time | Project Duration: 3–4 Months with Potential for Full-Time Placement

Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Coordinator for an industrial construction project at a surface mine site in Louisville, NE. This position plays a key role in implementing and maintaining a zero-accident safety culture and offers the opportunity for long-term employment with a top-tier general contractor.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enforce the project’s safety strategy, policies, and OSHA compliance on a daily basis

  • Monitor construction activities and proactively identify/correct safety deficiencies

  • Deliver onsite safety training courses including fall protection, confined space, excavation, scaffolding, electrical safety, and OSHA 10/30-hour

  • Promote a safety-first culture through leadership, visibility, and employee engagement

  • Maintain all required safety documentation and assist with incident investigations

Minimum Requirements:

  • MSHA Certified Trainer required (Blue Card strongly preferred)

  • 2–5 years of industrial surface mine construction safety experience

  • OSHA 500 certification in the construction industry

  • Formal training in areas such as: excavation, confined space, rigging, fall protection, hazardous waste, scaffolding, crane operations, steel erection, and erosion control (NPDES)

  • Strong ability to identify safety issues and implement corrective measures in the field

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with field personnel and management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for a general contractor

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field

  • Professional safety certifications such as CSP or CHSP
