Description of the role:

Tutor Doctor - North County San Diego is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tutor for English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programs. The role involves providing one-on-one tutoring sessions to students of various ages and proficiency levels in Carlsbad, California.

Responsibilities:

• Developing personalized lesson plans based on student's needs and goals.
• Using online auditory tools and apps to help students hear the English language and practice speaking.
• Evaluating students' progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Providing constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their language proficiency.
• Communicating with students' parents/guardians to discuss progress and address concerns.

Requirements:

• Experience teaching ESL/ESOL to students of various ages and proficiency levels.
• Strong knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation rules in English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and adaptability to meet the individual needs of each student.
