Job Description

The Digital Marketing Manager (On Site) at Terranea Resort is responsible for driving and overseeing all aspects of digital marketing across key channels to elevate the resort’s online presence and achieve revenue goals. This role is integral in developing and executing data-driven digital campaigns, managing the resort’s website and content, and optimizing digital advertising strategies to maximize ROI. A key component of this role is utilizing analytics and reporting to measure the success of campaigns, identify opportunities for optimization, and drive performance improvements. The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for translating data into actionable insights that continuously enhance digital marketing strategies, helping to improve brand visibility, increase customer engagement, and ultimately drive bookings.

Responsibilities

Campaign Development & Optimization:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including paid search, display advertising, and email marketing.
  • Ensure all campaigns are aligned with overall marketing objectives and perform optimally to drive bookings and revenue.

Website & Content Management:

  • Oversee and manage the resort’s website, ensuring all content is up-to-date, engaging, and optimized for both user experience and search engine performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the site reflects the Terranea brand, is consistent with marketing initiatives, and provides seamless navigation for potential guests.

Digital Advertising Strategy:

  • Develop and manage digital advertising strategies, including paid search, display ads, and programmatic advertising. Continuously monitor, adjust, and report on digital ad performance to maximize reach, conversions, and ROI.
  • Implement A/B testing and other optimization techniques to improve campaign results.

SEO/SEM Strategy:

  • Collaborate on enhancing SEO practices across digital platforms. Lead SEM campaigns, ensuring that paid search and organic efforts are aligned to capture the right audience and drive traffic to the resort’s website.

Performance Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, website traffic, conversion rates, and key performance indicators (KPIs) using tools like Google Analytics, Revinate, and other relevant platforms.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to drive continuous improvement.

Email Campaigns:

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns focused on customer retention, repeat visits, and special offers.
  • Segment email lists to ensure targeted and personalized messaging.
  • Create compelling email content that resonates with different customer segments and promotes engagement.
  • Leverage email automation tools to deliver timely, relevant messages at key stages of the customer journey.
  • Monitor and analyze email performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions to gauge effectiveness.
  • Optimize email campaigns based on performance data to improve engagement and achieve better results.
  • Design email nurturing sequences that guide customers through the booking process, encourage repeat visits, and build brand loyalty.
  • Align email campaigns with broader marketing objectives and ensure they support resort goals.
  • Test and refine email strategies (A/B testing, subject lines, content variations) to improve overall campaign success.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with the creative, design, and marketing teams to ensure all digital assets and campaigns align with brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate with other departments, especially revenue, to ensure digital marketing initiatives are well integrated with resort-wide promotional activities and events.

Budget Management:

  • Assist Associate Director of Marketing in management of digital marketing budgets across channels, ensuring spend is optimized for the best possible return on investment.
  • Provide input into the allocation of marketing dollars and track digital ad spends to stay within budget.

Emerging Trends & Technology:

  • Stay updated on the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate emerging digital tools and platforms that can enhance the resort’s marketing efforts.

Project & Time Management:

  • Help in overseeing the timely execution of all digital marketing initiatives, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Ensure all campaigns are delivered on time, within scope, and at the highest quality standards.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, organize, and track projects on a daily basis; working against hard deadlines
  • Able to project manage, be organized, detail oriented, and have ability to prioritize
  • Owns projects from start to completion by coordinating with marketing team, internal departments or outside agencies, art services, printers, etc., securing manager approval of requests and delivering final high-resolution files in timely manner to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure consistency of design; maintain and uphold Terranea's overarching branding standards.
  • Attend as needed:
    • Marketing meetings
    • Operations team lineups and department meetings
    • Biweekly department meetings
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in digital marketing, particularly in the hospitality or luxury sector.
  • Proven track record in email marketing, including developing, executing, and optimizing email campaigns.
  • Experience in developing and executing successful digital campaigns across multiple channels (email, paid search, display ads, etc.).
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar).
  • Expertise in content management systems (CMS), Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other relevant digital tools.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and SEO best practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is an asset for creating email assets and digital content.
  • Strong ability to analyze email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in A/B testing and performance analysis to optimize digital marketing strategies.
  • Ability to track, interpret, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across email and other digital channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling email copy and marketing content.
  • Ability to effectively present campaign performance and insights to stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple email campaigns and other digital initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative attitude, working seamlessly with other departments (creative, design, marketing) and external vendors to execute integrated digital marketing campaigns.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital marketing within the hospitality or luxury resort industry is a plus.

Compensation

Base Pay Start Rate: $70,000/Yr.
