Senior Maintenance Manager - Fortune 500 Manufacturing Company - Portland, OR

A renowned Fortune 500 company operating in the Food Manufacturing industry is seeking a Maintenance Maintenance for their Portland plant. This position will oversee the entire maintenance program including multiple managers and a maintenance team of 70+ employees. This position will oversee multiple managers, supervisors, and 75+ Maintenance Mechanics in a 24/7 unionized high-speed consumer goods production environment.

Compensation : $170,000 - $200,000 Base Salary + 17% bonus. Benefits start day 1, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, 401k match up to 9%, 20 days PTO.

Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates moving.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and enhance maintenance processes for optimal performance.
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies, focusing on zero breakdowns and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Coach and mentor the maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and safety regulations and manage maintenance activities to maintain equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee predictive and preventive maintenance plans, utilizing data trends to inform decisions.
  • Coordinate training programs for maintenance and operations teams on best practices and improvements.
  • Utilize SAP PM for maintenance management, including work orders and spare parts inventory control.
  • Support the implementation of new projects through the Early Equipment Management.
  • Lead engineering and maintenance projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Participate in improvement groups and manage maintenance budgets effectively.
  • Provide prompt service to internal and external customers and maintain materials and equipment organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / STEM.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Maintenance Leadership role.
  • Strong background in TPM, LEAN, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement implementation.
  • Proficient in SAP PM module and spare parts management.
  • Experience building Reliability Centered Maintenance Programs.
  • Experience in the food or processing industry.
  • Union environment is preferred.
