Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our litigation team and provide direct support to an attorney/partner specializing in appellate work, federal court filings, and construction-related defense litigation. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and court filings. Manage deadlines, court calendars, and case-related schedules. Handle federal court filings, particularly for appellate matters. Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and court personnel in a professional manner. Maintain case files and ensure accurate document management. Provide administrative support, including drafting letters, managing calls, and scheduling meetings. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in a similar legal support role. Strong knowledge of litigation processes; appellate and federal court filing experience preferred. Excellent communication, grammar, and writing skills. Proficiency with legal document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
